Join The Activity & Health Policy Network and Attend the Launch
ACSM continues to play a key role in advocating for policy and legislation that increases the importance of physical activity in the United States. One piece of this initiative is the ACSM-led Activity & Health Policy Network, a multi-organizational partnership devoted to advancing public policy on physical activity and reducing physical inactivity. ACSM Hosts The National Plan for Physical Activity Coordinating Committee
This week, Thursday and Friday, the coordinating committee for The National Plan for Physical Activity will meet at the ACSM National Center in Indianapolis to discuss progress and activation prior to the National Plan Conference 2009, to be held in Washington, D.C. at the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center on July 1-2, 2009. Registration for the conference is open until May 15, 2009. ACSM originally called for the development of a national plan to address physical activity in American health policy.
