Clinicians: Sign Up for Walking Challenge at Annual Meeting

Clinician members: you're invited to join us in the launch of the Every Body Walk!: 30 Minutes to Better Health Walking Challenge in Orlando. Join ACSM President Bill Dexter and ACSM Past President Bob Sallis to engage in a little friendly competition with your peers. Dexter, Sallis and other ACSM physician leaders will each lead a team of physician walkers. The team who logs the most steps by the Clinicians' Reception Thursday evening will receive special recognition.

This launch event will involve the first 500 physicians who register, so please pre-register by visiting www.tractivityonline.com/acsm right away! To make every step you take at the conference count toward our goal, ACSM will be using Tractivity as the conference's activity monitoring solution. Tractivity will pre-register you online, saving you from lining up in Orlando, and will have an activity monitor waiting for you when you arrive. All participants will get to keep their device at no cost after the meeting.

This program's ultimate goal is for doctors to inspire a large group of citizens to collectively walk a billion miles — and we won't be able to make it without your leadership to help kick this off at the annual meeting.

If you have any questions, please contact Erin Slevin, Every Body Walk coordinator, at eslevin@acsm.org.
