Oklahoma Residential Fire Put Out by Sprinklers
from the Tulsa World – Sept. 29, 2009
Tulsa firefighters found heavy smoke and an activated sprinkler system at a house fire Tuesday morning, said spokesman Bill French. The activated sprinkler system extinguished the main body of the fire, which crews determined was caused by improper storage of materials, French said. There were no injuries reported from the fire. Marine Base Awards Bid for $5.5 Million Sprinkler System

Sprinklers Douse Florida Chemical Fire

Crews from several fire departments battled a chemical fire in Pinellas Park, Fla. The fire took place at a plastic and rubber manufacturing company. The Pinellas Park Fire Department said the sprinkler system in the building extinguished the flames. More
