ASA Advisor©
Banks are willing to lend, but with upward macroeconomic pressure on rates and increasing regulatory pressure on costs, businesses need to move now to finance the equipment purchases, working capital needs and market expansions necessary to take maximum advantage of a growing economy over the next few years. According to the most recent Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey conducted by the Federal Reserve, the number of banks tightening lending standards for Commercial & Industrial loans continued to fall, indicating that banks have funds they wish to lend. Look to your production and distribution processes. Can they handle three years of increasing activity? Consider borrowing funds to expand your abilities in current markets and to fund moving into new markets while rates are low and credit is available. Log in to MY ASA to access the latest report.
