Beware of Your Liability Exposure for DBE Fraud When Selling to Government Contractors
National Association of Wholesale-Distributors
Wholesaler-distributors often supply products and materials to contractors for use on public procurement projects that are funded, at least in part, with government funds. Under federal, state and local laws and regulations, a certain portion of that government contract may need to be awarded, or subcontracted, by the general contractor to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, or DBEs. For example, the U.S. Department of Transportation spends about $50 billion per year on construction projects and about $5 billion goes to DBEs.

Your Competitive Advantage is One Workforce with Four Generations
Wholesalers Association of the North East
Your managers need hard hitting information about the workforce and understand what they must do to remain relevant and thrive in the multi-generational game of recruiting, onboarding, coaching, engaging and retaining four - soon to be five - generations. The bottom line is competitive advantage through engaged employees, specifically the ability to understand and capitalize on what motivates employees and make that work for your business. This, coupled with the challenges of implementing successful succession plans for retiring senior employees, will significantly impact your business’ strategy for growth. Understanding the Talent-Creation Crisis
The Gordon Report
A widening jobs-skills gap now exists across the United States and in many other world labor markets. Survey after survey of large and small businesses and their human resource personnel indicate that the shortage of skilled workers is an increasing concern. International surveys of CEOs rank talent shortages as a major problem. The December 2015 US unemployment rate of 5.0 percent should indicate that the labor market is in a favorable economic range. However, the workforce participation rate (the percentage of working-age adults either employed or looking for a job) remained at a historic low of 62.5 percent, last matched in 1977.
