Joel Becker Selected to Receive the Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award

The American Supply Association's Executive Committee is proud to announce that the 2015 Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achieve Award will be presented to Joel Becker of Torrco Supply at the ASA Annual Member Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The prestigious Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to individuals with a long history of service and dedication to the industry. To be considered, individuals must have exhibited strong influence on the current status of the industry, project a positive industry image, be responsible for positively affecting the industry in general and have provided a history of dedicated service to the American Supply Association.

Industrial Distribution Trade Associations Present to Business School Students

member, tells students at University of Colorado Denver Business School about his career path.
Alliance Partners of Industrial Careers Pathway met recently in Denver to plan for the future and talk with students from the University of Colorado Denver Business School about careers in industrial distribution. Together, these five industry-leading executives talked about their careers and success in the distribution sector and encouraged about 30 students to seek careers in the field. Students asked provocative questions about energy efficiency, bottom line profit management, flexibility of movement within the industry and variety of job opportunities. The presenters, along with other Alliance Partner representatives, were in Denver for the ICP Steering Committee meeting where they discussed ICP's progress in meeting its goal of creating awareness of industrial distribution among 16–24-year-olds.
