Asteroid Mining Lifts Off
ASA Materials Market Digest©
Last October, a rocket exploded carrying supplies to the International Space Station, along with a small satellite as a first-step for an eventual asteroid mining venture seeking rare earth metals. In mid-July, a replacement satellite was launched from the ISS to test systems needed to make asteroid mining possible. If an asteroid mining venture succeeds, will it flood the market with those metals and send their prices crashing on Earth, or will an abundance of supply spark new uses for precious metals and expand demand enough to make space mining profitable? Log in to MY ASA for the September installment of ASA's Materials Market Digest©.

American Supply Association
So what do you think about value engineering? It's just one topic that Todd Talbot, president of Fluidmaster and I explore as we dig into this innovative company's business model. You see, we both agree that too many use the term value engineering as code for "I’m going to cross reference a product number and find you a comparable product at a lower price." No value and no engineering. A strategic business model on the other hand creates real value in the market for which customers are willing to reward you. In this episode, Todd and Dirk Beveridge explore how 1 vision and 3 critical path strategies equal a business model to become #1 in the world.
