    Understanding your aircraft insurance policy
Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Most private aircraft policies written in Canada today follow a similar format where they make a fairly broad sweeping statement of what is covered, add some frill coverages and then use the rest of the policy to list a series of conditions and exclusions to those coverages. What you end up with is a policy which covers all risks, SUBJECT to the conditions of the policy and EXCEPT for what is specifically excluded.

Therefore, it is just as important to understand these conditions and exclusions as it is to know what is included.

No tax funds for local air show
The Kitchener-Waterloo Record    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
It would truly be a shame to see the Waterloo Air Show crash as an event because it has run out of money. Its displays of marvellous aircraft on the ground as well as the breathtaking aerobatics it stages high in the sky captivate and thrill crowds young and old year after year. Yet, as wonderful as this air show is, it should not be up to local taxpayers to keep it in the air. But the current producers of the show, David White and Richard Cooper, are asking for precisely this — a public underwriting of an event that, for all its virtues, remains a private endeavour. More
