Water-main breaks are sign of old infrastructure

Hamilton was hit with at least three water-main breaks recently as its aging pipes continue to deteriorate after a harsh winter. Dan McKinnon, director of water and wastewater operations, said all of the breaks that occurred Tuesday were small. But he warned there will be more problems with the aging system in the future. Second engineering degree accredited at Conestoga College
The Record
A second engineering degree program at Conestoga College has received accreditation from Engineers Canada, the college announced. Conestoga College's electronic systems engineering degree received a seal of approval from the body representing Canada's licensed engineers, which will allow graduates of the four-year program to become licensed engineers.
