CSCE International on LinkedIn
The CSCE has created a new LinkedIn group called CSCE International.
This private group is for CSCE members interested in the CSCE's
international activities, and in foreign engineering issues, projects,
and research. To request membership, go to CSCE International
on LinkedIn, click Join, and your request will be reviewed by a group
manager. In addition, a subgroup called CSCE International Members has
been created specifically for CSCE members living outside of Canada.

design, or product design students or those within 4 years of
graduation. They are looking for product concepts or ideas that solve a
real problem and can be part of a university project or something

Metrolinx purchases 3 CN Rail stations

Metrolinx announces it has purchased three CN Rail station that GO Transit currently share with VIA located in Georgetown, Brampton and Oshawa.
The purchase, valued at $2.5 million, will help modernize and upgrade the stations.
97 per cent of engineers aspire for a job in IT and core engineering
Of the six hundred thousand engineers that graduate annually in the country, only 18.43 per cent are employable for the Software Engineer-IT services role, 7.49 per cent are employable for core engineering jobs, even though more than 90 per cent aspire for such jobs.

Mathematics plays an integral role in civil engineering technology, but it does not form the ultimate basis for it. "You have to do some measurements, drafting and sketching. So, the need to be able to have some math skills to draw on is very apparent, but it's not heavily dependent on a high number of math courses," said Jamie Hilts.

New engineering venture takes aim at Northern infrastructure

Ozaanaman Engineering is a partnership with TBT Engineering, Saulteaux Consulting and Engineering, Rainy River First Nations and Naicatchewenin First Nation.
SNC-Lavalin wins engineering contract for Quebec diamond project
Canada's SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. said it won a contract from Stornoway Diamonds Inc to provide engineering and other services for a project in the James Bay region of Quebec.
SNC, Canada's biggest engineering and construction company, said the cost related to the scope of services at the Renard Diamond project was estimated to be more than $425 million.
Infrastructure spending necessary for Ontario's future: Wynne
The focus on infrastructure spending and pensions in the re-introduced provincial budget is necessary for Ontario’s economic viability down the road, according to Premier Kathleen Wynne.
