The 1st Annual Conference on Innovation in Engineering Practice is what you've been asking for – an annual conference that offers a stream of papers and presentations that takes applied research and puts it into practice. The intent is with your support and participation, this will become an annual component within our conference.

The time has arrived…the 2015 CSCE conference Call for Abstracts is open. We encourage you to put on your thinking caps and submit an abstract for what will undoubtedly be an extremely exciting technical program.

From the traditional topics such as structures, transportation and environmental engineering to the first of its kind, non-juried, Innovation in Engineering Practice specialty conference, we are certain you will find a topic that showcases the work you are doing with universities, industry and the public and private sectors.

CALL FOR ARTICLES
CSCE
The International Affairs Committee (IAC) of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) invites you to submit articles for a special issue of the Canadian Civil Engineer (CCE). The theme of this special issue of the CCE is "Lessons from India." Limited number of articles will be published in this issue. The focus of this issue is to showcase the major advancements that have taken place in India in the Civil Engineering field and to highlight lessons for Canadian Civil Engineers. The articles are typically only 3-4 pages long.

Abstracts of articles should be sent to guptar@uvic.ca by December 1st, 2014. Limited number of authors will be invited to submit full articles. Full articles due by January 31st, 2015.

APPEL AUX ARTICLES
CSCE
Le Comité des affaires internationales (CAI) de la Société canadienne de génie civil (SCGC) vous invite à soumettre des articles pour un numéro spécial de L'Ingénieur civil canadien (ICC). Le thème de ce numéro spécial est "Les leçons de l’Inde." Un nombre limité d’articles sera publié dans ce numéro dont le contenu sera axé sur les avancements majeurs réalisés dans le domaine du génie civil en Inde et sur les leçons à tirer pour les ingénieurs civils canadiens. Les articles sont de 3 à 4 pages.

Les résumés des articles doivent être adressés à guptar@uvic.ca au plus tard le 1er décembre 2014. Un nombre limité d’auteurs sera invité à soumettre des articles complets. Ceux-ci doivent être reçus au plus tard le 31 janvier 2015.

Gas tax funding for infrastructure opens

Ring of Fire infrastructure work moving ahead, minister says
