House releases continuing resolution with sequester reductions in place
House appropriators are proposing a final fiscal 2013 spending package that would effectively cap federal operating expenses at $982 billion, while giving military and veterans programs new flexibility to cushion the effects of the sequester's automatic cuts.

A Massachusetts Democrat has introduced a bill that would permanently extend Build America Bonds with a subsidy rate that drops on a phased-in basis and a provision that ensures sequestration would not result in reduced Treasury subsidy payments to issuers.
Parsons road upgrade project in Utah received top honor at AGC luncheon
Parsons announced that the Associated General Contractors of America selected the SR-114 Geneva Road Design-Build Project in Utah as the winner of a 2013 Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award. Named for AGC's 1991 President, the award recognizes successful partnerships and collaborations that work to improve construction projects.

The entry requirements have changed, so make sure you get this year's information. We've streamlined the process and added a new Team Performance section. Projects must have been completed and occupied by the owner after March 31, 2010. The deadline for submitting entries is May 21, 2013.
