According to a report by the Freedonia Group, water treatment demand is set to increase 6.2 percent per year. World demand for water treatment products is projected to increase 6.2 percent per year to nearly $65 billion in 2015. The Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex, 1 year old in October, is one of 12 facilities included in the 2011 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics' online Facilities Showcase. St. Thomas is the only Division III institution among the 12 featured. The AARC's arena concourse, field house and the Hall of Fame areas are included on the St. Thomas page. More

DBIA presented awards to the 2011 winning people and projects. Walker Lee Evey received the Brunelleschi Lifetime Achievement Award and the Distinguished Design-Build Leadership award winners were announced. The winning projects included the Pentagon Renovation Wedges 2-5, which was named Best Overall, and the UCSF Ray and Dagmar Dolby Regeneration Medicine Building received DBIA's first ever Excellence in Design Award.
