John Legend, Adam Levine, Frank Sinatra, David Bowie and More Famous Musicians At Home
Architectural Digest
These 16 talented performers are as creative at home as they are onstage. Tour the impressive pads behind the legends, culled from Architectural Digest's archives. Lionel Richie, for instance, enlisted architect Robert Attree and designers Peter Schifando and J. Jonathan Joseph to renovate his Italian Renaissance Revival home in Beverly Hills, which had been designed for Carrie Guggenheim in 1929 by architects Harry Koerner and William J. Gage. The singer-songwriter used his extensive travels as inspiration for the decor of the house, which he sees as a respite from his chaotic schedule.

Interior Design Men Can Get Behind
The Wall Street Journal
Straight men have a terrible reputation when it comes to décor. It's assumed that they're either indifferent — living amid cruel amounts of chintz in a "whatever you want, honey" way — or energetically tasteless, as evidenced by their infamous man caves. In the 2012 Man Cave of the Year, chosen by ManCaveSite.org, a suit of armor coexists with plastic toy cars, British pub paraphernalia and a red fire hydrant. It appears to have been decorated by someone who may not be the sharpest Swiss Army knife in the drawer.

Outlook Improving for Interior Designers and Contractors
By Michael J. Berens
Early projections for building and remodeling activity suggest business should improve for interior designers and contractors across all industry sectors in 2014. Although extreme wintry weather in many parts of the United States and a slackening in the global economy could lower initial expectations, indicators are strong for a continued and improved recovery. Residential activity will lead the recovery, with both new home construction and remodeling spending expected to increase this year.
