IDS is proud to announce the availability of pre-recorded webinars at your convenience through our new online learning management system (LMS). We currently have seven CEU certified webinars available through our homepage (www.interiordesignsociety.org) link labeled 'LMS'. There are instructions on how to start the webinar, obtain handouts and take a quiz to show completion once you click on this link. We will have non-CEU certified webinars available after the first of the year. As live webinars are conducted through IDS, they will become available through the LMS if individuals are unable to join the live session. We also hope to premier our conference speakers through this venue in order for participants to gain wider exposure to the speaker's expertise. IDS will automatically update your CEU record when you participate in the online webinars through our LMS thus there is no need for additional CEU filing.

Sailor's Delight: A Dream Home Off The Coast of Santorini
ELLE Decor
Costis Psychas was diving off the coast of Therassia, an islet in Greece's Aegean Sea, when he first spotted his future dream home. Nestled in a cove at the base of a ruddy cliff, the building had been abandoned for decades and was not much more than a pile of rubble. "I almost didn't see it at first because it was built of red volcanic stones collected from the mountain, so it blends into its environment," he says. What's more, much of the structure was under water. "Which," says this passionate sailor, "is what makes it so special."

Jennifer Ott, Houzz contributor and designer, discusses how to create a warm kitchen with white colors. "You can't just specify white for all the materials, fixtures and finishes and call it a day. Similar to a slim-fitting white dress or a pair of white skinny jeans, white is not the most forgiving color — when something is white, we tend to notice small details about it, like the quality of the material or texture. This is because white reflects light — unlike darker hues, which tend to absorb light. So while I might use bold, bright color to distract the eye from lower-quality or less-interesting materials."
