“According to the baby book my parents saved from 1970, my favorite toy as a toddler was a measuring tape. So I think perhaps I’ve always been an interior designer — though I took a crooked path to hanging up my shingle. I started out as a photographer and ended up a Vice President of Marketing. After ten years on a steep climb up the corporate ladder, I longed for a more creative gig. The Interior Design Society recently granted three scholarships to students at the University of North Texas, East Tennessee State University, and High Point University. This is the first year of the Interior Design Society’s Scholarship Program. We had a strong pool of applicants from all over the country.
