A House Rooted in Nature
The Wall Street Journal
In 2004, Richard and Susan Lobel—a pair of Brooklynites seeking a weekend retreat—purchased a cottage in Woodstock, N.Y., that was rough around the edges, but charmingly situated on a wooded 6.8-acre parcel of land next to an idyllic stream. "It was a very small, mouse-infested two-bedroom, one-bathroom," said Susan Lobel of the 400-square-foot box.
