Choosing the best plank flooring for your home may be difficult because you have to consider the cost and size of the house. Most homeowners choose not to use wooden planks because tiles have become a cheaper and even better alternative when flooring your house. However, vinyl wood planks are also like tiles, and you can arrange them on the floor the way tiles are arranged. They also come in so many beautiful shades and tones, making it so easy to find the perfect match. Here are some tips you should definitely consider before plank flooring your home.

For many businesses, winter is a busy and frenetic time of the year. It just so happens that the need for increased productivity also coincides with fewer work days to do the work, since many holidays fall during this time. A good manager has the time management, decision-making and organizational skills to lead her team through this challenging time of the year. She also has another important quality that is too frequently overlooked: patience.
The Boston Globe
Sometimes a room, no matter how lovely, calls out for a complete overhaul. Such was the case with the family room in a Concord home, last decorated in the early 1990s. Interior designer Phoebe Russell worked with the homeowners, empty nesters with two 20-something daughters, to revamp half a dozen rooms. “The family room walls were finished with a hand-painted watermelon pink strie glaze,” Russell says. The new scheme is based around a feature the homeowners adore: a dusky blue grass-cloth wallcovering with a horsehair-like texture.
Ask any homeowner what they’d like to improve about their property, and a likely response is the addition of a utility room. The stark reality of all too many homes is an overflowing laundry basket in the kitchen, assorted linen drying on the radiators, and never being able to find a pair of socks that even remotely match.
Deck the — sometimes narrow — halls with tons of illuminating Christmas cheer. Because your city apartment deserves to be just as festive as any other home.

Design media publishers like to dazzle their readers with awesome photos of amazingly designed spaces. Certainly, there are designers and clients who want to create spectacular spaces that break out of the conventional and make a statement. For the majority of homeowners, though, undertaking a redesign, remodel or renovation is more about refreshing and upgrading rather than striving for originality. The emphasis is less on aesthetics and more on functionality.
These three simple table settings emphasize the beauty of the season without adding to the holiday load. They feature ingredients that could be snipped from your garden, picked up off the sidewalk or easily found at the local market. And if you can’t find a particular item, incorporate another material or just leave it out. Unlike most recipes, these won’t lose their flavor if you strip them down. “Simple things are oftentimes the prettiest,” says Alethea Harampolis, coauthor with Jill Rizzo of The Wreath Recipe Book. “I love using stark sticks.”
