The IDS National office has issued a second round of invoices. Please be sure to pay your invoice on or before Dec. 31 to avoid a lapse in your membership. Our prices are competitive and fair, and in most cases we really can't afford to lower them. Most customers that demand discounts are Tier 2 clients. It's always tough to say no to a customer, but it's even tougher to lose money. We are working to keep our prices from going up, even though the costs of our materials, utilities, labor — and health insurance — are increasing.

At the Home of Kinder Modern's Lora Appleton, the Living Is Rambunctious

Willem Appleton must be one of the luckiest 5-year-olds in New York. His mother, Lora Appleton, encourages him to roughhouse and jump on the furniture in their luxurious TriBeCa apartment. Appleton, 38, a founder of the kinder Modern gallery at Broadway near 26th Street, which specializes in vintage and contemporary children's furniture and toys, uses her apartment as a laboratory to test her merchandise for function and durability.
