American Manufacturing: Growing and Changing for the Better
Despite what was considered a disappointing March job report with only 88,000 jobs added, there were a couple of bright spots. One was the manufacturing sector, which added 50,000 jobs over the last three years. For the first time in more than a decade, the U.S. is actually outpacing other countries in manufacturing jobs.
How 'Made in the USA' is Making a Comeback
The U.S. economy continues to struggle, and the weak March jobs report — just 88,000 positions were added — briefly spooked the market. But step back and you’ll see a bright spot, perhaps the best economic news the U.S. has witnessed since the rise of Silicon Valley: Made in the USA is making a comeback. Climbing out of the recession, the U.S. has seen its manufacturing growth outpace that of other advanced nations, with some 500,000 jobs created in the past three years.

Mexico, US to Benefit As Manufacturing Leaves Asia
Already heavily intertwined, the U.S. and Mexican economies stand to become even more integrated as creeping costs in China drive some manufacturing back to North America, according to U.S. commerce officials. “A lot of companies are reshoring, or bringing production back to our continent,” said Robert Queen, a U.S. Department of Commerce official and director of the El Paso Export Assistance Center.
