The U.S. trade war with China has heated up, and now there is much speculation about daily life for American manufacturers and their employees. What obstacles do manufacturers face and what happens to jobs in such an unstable climate?
While many trade war theories circulate, an overvalued American dollar is said to be the root cause of the problem — and thus is not likely to be addressed anytime soon.
It almost always comes as a surprise when a business uncovers fraud or theft, especially when a trusted employee lurks behind the trouble. But once the initial shock fades, company owners and executives may look back and find clues. Perhaps someone had unsupervised access to warehouse merchandise, or one employee handled nearly all financial documents, or a worker faced dire personal financial issues.
If linear motion technology is featured in your factory, it’s likely that it plays a largely mechanical role in your production processes. But as digital technology continues to evolve, linear motion technology is starting to play an increasingly important role in the factory of the future. Linear motion technology solutions of the future can enable manufacturers to capture data, optimize processes, and predict wear sooner and with greater accuracy than ever before.
The escalating U.S.-China trade war is threatening to upend the global economy’s much-anticipated rebound and could even throw its decade-long expansion into doubt if the conflict spirals out of control.
Fears that companies will shelve investment, consumers will cut spending and stocks will slide have been revived after Donald Trump and Xi Jinping’s fragile trade truce was shattered with both sides slapping fresh tariffs on the other’s goods.
The Economic Times
India will soon have to take a call on whether to officially share the U.S. dollar-rupee reference rate with overseas exchanges, fund houses, corporates and banks.
The benchmark rate is used to settle millions of trades and currency derivative contracts in India and abroad.
The advent of 3D printing has kickstarted another powerful transformation: the rise of manufacturing-as-a-service platforms.
Netherlands-based 3D Hubs and US-based Xometry spotted the opportunity and developed a new business model that will have a profound effect on the global manufacturing sector. They came to it from different angles.
