Due to the snowstorm on Valentine's day, RH Foster and Augusta Fuel were unable to participate on the day of. However, they did follow up on Friday and got tremendous response from the press and their customers.
Keeping the mojo going, RH Foster also created a 100 gallon sweepstakes giveaway in order to extend the FYL theme.

Two federal lawmakers have proposed a measure to help as the tobacco industry continues to get a grasp on new regulations for other tobacco products like electronic cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco.
U.S. Reps. Tom Cole (R-Oklahoma) and Sanford Bishop (D-Georgia) introduced legislation to ensure sensible regulations for newly deemed tobacco products by the Food and Drug Administration.

For the second time, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services has sent a request to the federal Department of Agriculture to ban soda, other soft drinks and candy from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Maine's Department of Health and Human Services administers the federal government's food stamp program for Maine residents.
A letter sent to the USDA from DHHS said the federal department has denied similar waiver requests in the past.

Following New Hampshire's lead, Maine Gov. Paul LePage issued Tuesday, Feb. 14, an emergency declaration as a result of heavy snow storms, suspending hours-of-service regulations for truckers delivering residential and business heating fuels to the state.
Maine's suspension of hours regulations is effective through Feb. 28, according to the declaration.

Soon after Mainers voted this fall to approve a referendum to raise the minimum hourly wage from $7.50 to $9 in 2017, a sign appeared on the counter at Selah Tea Cafe on Main Street in Waterville.
"The new minimum wage law does affect us at Selah Tea Cafe. I anticipate the only change to mitigate the mandatory increase in expense will be price changes to our menu items," it read.
The small downtown eatery, which serves tea, coffee and food, raised its prices in phases, culminating in an across-the-board increase of 7 percent — plus 1 percent for other expenses.

Ensyn Corp. is ramping up production of a proprietary biofuel it has made for more than 25 years at a small facility in Renfrew, Ontario.

U.S. Energy Information Administration
U.S. demand for distillate fuels, which includes heating oil, was low in January as warmer-thannormal
temperatures for the month caused households to turn down the heat.
In its new monthly forecast, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said distillate
consumption averaged 3.8 million barrels per day during January virtually the same as a year
earlier and the third lowest demand level for January since 2001.
