Directors guild finds TV diversity hiring stalled
ABC News
Women and minorities are largely shut out of the ranks of TV series directors in a stubbornly unchanged pattern of hiring, according to a recently released Hollywood guild study. The Directors Guild of America report said that employers have made no significant improvement in diversity among TV directors in the last four years.

Rajat Sharma, chairman and editor-in-chief of India TV, will be the new president of the News Broadcasters Association. The apex body of Indian news channels, News Broadcasters Association made this announcement after its annual general meeting. Sharma held the position of honorary treasurer at NBA. He is best known for his popular show "Aap Ki Adalat," which has been captivating viewers for last 18 years. He has grilled over 750 personalities in the longest-running show in India's television history.

'Jane the Virgin' aims beyond its Latin ethnicity

On Oct. 13, this CW comedy-drama will introduce its title character, an ambitious young Hispanic-American woman — played by Gina Rodriguez — who practices abstinence yet, through a series of coincidences and accidents, finds herself artificially inseminated with her boss' child.
