Zucker plans massive change at CNN

After almost a year of tinkering, CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker has concluded that a news channel cannot subsist on news alone. So he is planning much broader changes for the network—including a prime-time shakeup that's likely to make CNN traditionalists cringe.

Bounce TV scores renewals from stations

Bounce TV says it has reached agreements to be launched on several stations and had its affiliation renewed by several key groups. "Bounce TV has delivered on their commitment to bring compelling and entertaining programming to the previously - under-served African American audiences in our communities," Perry Sook, CEO of Nexstar Broadcasting Group, said in a statement. "We are proud to be one of the charter affiliate groups of Bounce TV and renewing our affiliation agreement reflects the strong viewer and advertiser response our stations have enjoyed."

Ad Agency rejects 'uncomfortable' photo of Muslim woman embracing a US soldier from its Times Square billboards

Media giant Clear Channel recently stirred up some controversy when it decided to flat out reject an advertising image of an American soldier embracing a veiled Muslim woman from its New York Times Square billboards due to its "uncomfortable" nature. The photo is part of an advertising campaign for SnoreStop, a line of over-the-counter snoring remedies. The company has already placed the image on a billboard in Los Angeles, with the pitch: "If we can keep this couple together, we can keep anyone together."

NFL signs 2-year deal with Fox Deportes to telecast the Super Bowl in spanish

Fox Deportes and the National Football League (NFL) have signed a two-year deal for the Spanish telecast rights to the postseason and the Super Bowl starting this year, becoming the first Spanish-language network in NFL History to broadcast the title game. The deal includes broadcasting rights, which began with the recent Dallas Cowboys - Oakland Raiders Thanksgiving Day game, and will include this year's and next year's postseason as well as Super Bowl XLVIII and Super Bowl XLIX.
