The National Retail Federation just released its latest ranking of the 100 largest U.S. retailers, with Walmart, Kroger and Target in the top three spots. While the entire top 10 is virtually unchanged from last year, the big news is that Amazon is moving up fast, powered in part by sales of the Kindle. More

According to an eMarketer forecast, growth in U.S. online ad spending will crest this year at 20.2 percent and remain solidly in double digits through 2014. By 2015, total online ad spending is projected to approach $50 billion. The forecast points to the use of Search in supporting the overall upshift, and to sustained support for banner ads that come from ad networks and large sites like Yahoo! and Google. More
