Global Wellness Summit
The Global Wellness Summit released ten predictions on the future of wellness, travel, spa and beauty in Europe. The organization asked its partner experts in Europe to forecast where wellness is headed in Europe. Predictions range from European nations increasingly "legislating wellness" by taxing unhealthy products — to a surge in new wellness properties (and discovery of little-known traditions) across Eastern Europe — to the vast European beauty market being rewritten by both wellness and high-tech approaches — to wellness resorts refocusing on nature, peace and authenticity.
As collaboration and project-based learning become preeminent ways of teaching and learning, many teachers struggle with how to evaluate these types of lessons. Traditional methods of evaluation, which have many flaws on their own, are not well-suited for interdisciplinary, multimodal learning. Teachers need ideas for encouraging students, providing meaningful feedback and setting students up for success.
Project-based learning, also known as challenge-based learning, begins with the assumption that there may be more than one right answer.
We often hear that peer review is an excellent opportunity for reciprocal student learning. In theory, this makes sense. Since an instructor can only dedicate a certain amount of attention to each student, peer review allows students to receive more feedback and engage more frequently in the content they are learning. Research shows this benefits both the students who receive and provide feedback.

- Microcurrent devices intended to be used to help reduce the visible signs of aging, beautify and improve the appearance of the skin, utilizing low levels of electrical current in conjunction with skin care products, should be performed by estheticians.
- Microcurrent procedures performed by estheticians, are not intended to cause a visible contraction of the muscle via the electrical current.
- In addition to manufacturer supplied, device specific education, estheticians who wish to perform microcurrent procedures, should take the necessary education to include theoretical and practical application, as part of their core curriculum or as continuing education modules.
