You still have time to buy a congratulatory ad in the NDA's 40th Anniversary Commemorative Yearbook that will be presented to every attendee at this year's Annual Convention, March 23 – 26 in San Diego. The commemorative gift will include a history of the Association with photos from the organization's History Booth which will be on display in the front of the Exhibit Hall in the San Diego Convention Center. It will also include an expanded Convention program including biographies and contact information about each of this year’s speakers and a map of the Exhibit Hall to assist you in locating suppliers at this year's show.

Pay your dues monthly by credit card

The Member Services Committee of the National Demolition Association has established a program to all members to pay their dues on a monthly basis using a credit card. NDA members who want to avail themselves of this service must authorize the Association to make monthly deductions to cover the cost of membership. The Association expects a large attendance at this year's anniversary event which will feature an Opening Night Reception on the U.S.S. Houston and Dallas led the nation in construction job growth in December

Houston and Dallas led the nation in the most new construction jobs in December, according to a new report from the Associated General Contractors of America. The Houston metropolitan area added the most jobs nationally — 17,600 jobs or a 10 percent increase from a year earlier. The Dallas area was second, adding 8,300 jobs or 8 percent. More

The Consensus Construction Forecast

The American Institute of Architect's semi-annual Consensus Construction Forecast has some (reasonably) good news for the industry. Spending for non-residential construction in the U.S. this year is expected to rise by 5 percent over last year's total of $300 billion, up from the 4.4 percent increase predicted in the July 2012 forecast. And the news is even better for 2014, with a 7.2 percent projected increase in spending. More

OSHA has cited Wisconsin businesses Lunda Construction, Inc., and Choice Construction Cos., Inc., for a total of 10 safety citations after a truck driver was killed and another worker seriously injured by a crane collapse.
