Demolition crews tore down a crime-plagued apartment complex in Norfolk, Va. The city bought Denby Park's seven apartment buildings for $2 million last year. The purchase is part of the city's plan to build safe, healthy neighborhoods that will sustain future generations. "I can't say I'm sad. This marks the beginning of a turnaround for Wards Corner and Denby Park," said Lacrystal Locks, president of the Civic League. More

TxDOT reports decrease in work-zone fatalities

Texas has seen a decrease in work-zone fatalities in 2010 from the previous year, the Texas Department of Transportation announced ahead of the upcoming National Work Zone Awareness Week.
