For years, residents of Sand Springs, OK, drove by a vacated steel facility in the center of the city. An eyesore might be too strong of a word, but people definitely noticed. After all, hundreds of residents had worked there over the years, and when the Sheffield Steel Plant closed in 2009, many were left jobless. C & AJ Marshall Builders Ltd., Leeds, U.K., has purchased a new compact Bobcat TL30.60 telehandler for house building projects for lifting and loading work and handling recycled construction, demolition and excavation materials to be reused on-site, according to a press release from global equipment company Doosan.

Demolition crews stated razing Palestine, Texas' Old Memorial Hospital , and city officials said they plan to finish the job by the end of the year.
At a celebration of the demolition at the site of the old hospital facility, city officials talked about the timing being right to tear the building down.
Larry Weber, board president of the Palestine Economic Development, said demolishing the old hospital was its No. 1 priority.

An emergency demolition will get underway after part of an old school building collapsed in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Two homes near the scene on the 2800 block of Bowman Avenue were evacuated after part of the building started to fall.
Bricks are strewned across the sidewalk and street.
