Free Webinar — PCBs in Caulk
NDA
November 13
1 p.m. EST – 2 p.m. EST
PCB's in Caulking has come to the national forefront for owners, managers, contractors and consultants. For years, this environmental dimension was rarely discussed and/or addressed as an environmental concern for parties that have some level of liability to identify, maintain, demolish, remediate and/or dispose of regulated caulking products.
In an effort to identify the regulatory requirements, assessment, monitoring and accountability methodologies, along with the liabilities for all of the parties that may be involved in a project, the NDA has convened a panel of experts that will: provide an overview of the PCB in Caulking Rule, discuss assessment procedures and work plan development, and identify some of the legal responsibilities and exposures that exist for all parties involved in projects where PCB's are encountered.

To do this, trucks must routinely cross state lines, requiring drivers to keep accurate mileage logs for regulatory purposes. 6 key traits leaders need to manage through a crisis
By Betty Boyd
Does there always seem to be a crisis in your organization? When there is, do your leaders have a duck-and-run mentality? A leader must be able to make decisions, and how leaders work through trouble is crucial for the success of any organization. As President John F. Kennedy once stated, "There are risks and costs to a program of action, but they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction." Here are six key traits that are necessary for the management of crisis situations.
For Portland, Oregon's Centennial Mills, even demolition comes at high cost
The Oregonian
Dealing with Centennial Mills has been on Portland, Oregon's to-do list since 2000, when the city bought the former grain mill. It's closer now than ever to a plan. Developer Jordan Schnitzer on Oct. 29 presented his $115.7 million redevelopment proposal to the Portland Development Commission. It would preserve key buildings and create a mix of public and private space in the North Pearl District — and would take a $38.5 million infusion of taxpayer dollars to fully realize.
