Articulate leadership no guarantee for effective organizational communication

As a society, we admire, applaud and follow articulate people who help us understand, who inspire us and who project a future of possibilities that sound better than what we have today. This skill is essential for helping a group or organization identify "what could be" while aligning people and their beliefs to work toward a common goal. Articulate leaders can also verbally resolve differences, dispel untruths and keep the naysayer at bay. So why do they sometimes struggle to get anything done?

US temp penetration rate matches all-time high in November
Staffing Industry Analysts
The U.S. temporary employment penetration rate matched its all-time high of 2.03 percent in November, according to seasonally adjusted data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The penetration rate is a measure of temp jobs as a percent of total employment, and October’s penetration rate was 2.02 percent based on revised BLS data.

With less than a month before 1.3 million unemployed Americans lose their federal benefits, Democratic leaders are making a last-ditch push to extend them. "We cannot, cannot support a budget agreement that does not include unemployment insurance," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said at a hearing on the issue. U.S. staffing companies employed an average of 3.03 million temporary and contract workers per day in the third quarter of 2013, up 2.6 percent from the third quarter of 2012, according to data released by the American Staffing Association.
