New York economy adds 34,400 jobs

New York state's economy gained 34,400 private-sector jobs in November, despite the unemployment rate ticking up to 8.0 percent from 7.9 percent the month prior. Since the state's economic recovery began in November 2009, New York has recouped 61 percent, or 202,700, of the private-sector jobs lost during the 2008-2009 recession. More
