PIA and the industry mourn the loss of Herm Deiss
PIA Oregon/Idaho, and much of the insurance industry in Oregon, are mourning the loss of Herm Deiss. Herm was loved far and wide for his love of people and an incredible sense of humor. In terms of the members of this association and the insurance industry, Herm was loved by everyone. Speaking for the PIA leadership, membership and staff, he was loved from the top down. He was loved by our board members, our entire membership and our staff. All of us are saddened to hear the news. Weekly Industry News received an announcement from his son Cameron.

No doubt, this controversy and the final decision will rest with the U.S. Supreme Court. In the meantime, this court will make conflicting decisions pushing it toward that direction.
