Year 2 of Obamacare: What do we know?
Year two of the almost full implementation of the Affordable Care Act happens in 2015. The open enrollment period starts mid-November and the American public is gearing up for another controversial go around. To date, the federal government has spent $73 billion on the Affordable Care Act. Yet, a study by HealthMarkets says most of us still don't understand exactly how it impacts us or the act's full implications.

Terrorism risk insurance demand increasing

Cover Oregon: A final and scathing report
The state of Oregon hired Clyde Hamstreet to run Cover Oregon on an interim basis and to investigate the collapse of the exchange. He recently finished his report and presented it to the Cover Oregon board of directors. His conclusions were less than flattering to the exchange and its management.

Insurers speaking Spanish
The number of people speaking Spanish in the United States is rapidly growing. You already know that. Insurers now know it, too. Actually, they've known it for a long time. Pew Research said Spanish is spoken by 37.6 million people in the U.S. Next closest — Chinese — is light years away at 2.8 million.
