Fair's fair
PMI
Process fairness is quite distinct from outcome fairness. Outcome fairness refers to judgments made about the final outcome. In this case, it is unfair to lose your job after 20 or 30 years due to a combination of factors largely outside of anyone's control. Process fairness is aligned with the concepts of procedural fairness and natural justice, and particularly applies to decisions affecting the team leader/team member (or manager/employee) relationship.

Redefining the PMO Workshop: Sept. 25-26 (Toronto)
ProjectManagement.com
There is no surer way to invite PMO difficulties than to rush into a cookie-cutter "people, process, tools" strategy and to "sell the PMO" — an approach still advocated by many today. This workshop first engages participants in a highly interactive session that reveals and corrects common misguided PMO strategies and then presents a bouquet of real-life PMO success stories based upon Mike Price Perry's newly released and third book in the Business Driven PMO series, Business Driven PMO Success Stories (2013), which attendees will receive as part of participating in this workshop.

Helping your PMO help you
Leading Answers
Do any of these traditional PMO scenarios match your agile team experiences? Your traditional PMO is so laughably outdated that most agile projects ignoring them; other projects produce token deliverables to appease them, but these bear little resemblance to anything actually happening on the agile projects.

Why bigger IT projects are not always better
Insurance & Technology
When I talk with my counterparts about what's happening in their worlds, I'm amazed at how often they boast about the "huge" projects they're managing. In my experience, I've done everything I could to keep from taking on megaprojects.

Can project management keep pace with agile development?
Bank Systems & Technology
As much as developers (and business leaders) love agile development, it poses some major challenges to project management, which relies heavily on the planning and forecasting that many agile developers happily bypass in practice. With agile adoption rates rising from 24 per cent in 2010 to more than 40 per cent in 2013, it's critical for companies to get a handle on how to successfully manage agile projects.
