Saturday Seminar on Leadership

PMI OVOC hosted an excellent Saturday Seminar on Nov. 15 with Presenter Sam Halwani launching the first of a two-day interactive workshop on leadership development. The workshop was packed full of relevant knowledge for all industries of Project Management.

PMI OVOC will launch its 2015 Saturday Seminar Series with Sam's second half of the workshop on Jan. 31, 2015.

More success in Kingston!

On Friday Nov. 7, the Kingston team held their second PMI OVOC event at the Vimy's Officers Mess at CFB Kingston. Larry Cooper, one of the PMI OVOC board members presented the topic "PMBOK, PRINCE2 and Agile — Competitors or Comrades." Over twenty people from Kingston and the surrounding area (including Ottawa) came out to network and earn PDUs.

Thanks to Yves Lavoie for offering the use of the facility, and to Craig Jeffrey and Heidi Langen for organizing the event. A follow up planning meeting on Nov. 17 will pave the way for more sessions for the Kingston area project.
