15 women, 3 men arrested in Harris County prostitution sting

Fifteen women and three men have been arrested after a double prostitution sting in East Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Video and photos show deputies raiding one bar and one cantina after undercover officers highlighted potential criminal activity.

Texas judge weigh benefits of juvenile detention vs. jail

In Texas, Bexar County District Court Judge Laura Parker said a lot of factors are considered when a judge certifies a minor to stand trial as an adult. "There would be testing done, there would be a probation report done and you would look at the seriousness of the offense," Parker said.

Would using a reward system for safe drivers reduce traffic violations?

Porsche's biannual RoadStar contest — a road safety campaign aimed at rewarding safe drivers in the United Arab Emirates — ended a few months ago, but not before local police handed out cash incentives and certificates to 50 unsuspecting drivers. The amount totaled to 50,000 UAE dirham, or $13,600. Maybe it's time for law enforcement agencies to consider bringing this technique to the United States to reduce the amount of traffic violations that occur on a daily basis.
