Harris County Sheriff: Triple homicide suspect captured

Johnathan Sanchez, 25, has been apprehended, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Sanchez, as a result of a Nov. 20 shooting, has been charged with capital murder. No motive has been provided for the triple homicide.

3 rescued by daring sheriff's deputy at Lake Conroe Dam

A man and two women riding in a pontoon boat on Lake Conroe had to be rescued by emergency personnel after an engine malfunction left them stranded during severe weather near Lake Conroe Dam. A Montgomery County sheriff's deputy patrolling in his vehicle on Texas 105 spotted the endangered watercraft slamming up against the dam.

Dallas police officer killed by JFK assassin honored posthumously

Dallas police Officer J.D. Tippit was on patrol in the neighborhood of Oak Cliff on Nov. 22, 1963. Tippit had heard about the shooting of President John F. Kennedy, and was on the lookout for anything suspicious when he came upon a man matching the description of the alleged shooter.
