Updated: Fish and Wildlife Commission votes against South Dakota bighorn sheep transplant
Independent Record
For the second time in a month, the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission denied a state proposal to transfer around 50 bighorn sheep from the Missouri River Breaks to South Dakota. The proposal died on a 2-2 tie vote, with commissioner Larry Wetsit of Wolf Point absent. The proposal would have authorized Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks to capture 50 bighorn sheep from Hunting District 482 where biologists have identified a high-population density and related concerns for disease.

Eva Shockey is the latest to be attacked online for her hunting prowess. The daughter of Jim Shockey, who hosts a hunting show on the Outdoor Channel, recently nabbed a 510-pound black bear in Hyde County, North Carolina, according to her Facebook page.
