Opposing Trends For Male and Female Cosmetic Surgery from Care Fair According to figures coming from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), fewer men had cosmetic surgery last year. The report states that there was a drop of 2 percent in the number of men seeking to have work done. On the other hand, the number of women in this group rose as much as 29 percent. AACS President Patrick McMenamin, M.D. was quoted as saying of the results, “For the time being, males and females are beginning to separate themselves in regards to cosmetic surgery.”
