The techniques used in cosmetic procedures are very similar to or at par with those commonly used in the U.S., Dr. Thomas says. The procedures in India, however, are much more minimalistic compared to those in this country, as the majority of Indian cosmetic patients prefer a nonsurgical approach, when possible. Moreover, the surgical outcomes, long-term follow-up and the general faith of patients in their doctors are sometimes different from those seen in the U.S.
