Evidence lacking in studies of hospital cleanliness
    HealthLeaders Media
A review of 80 studies finds that evidence-based research into hospital cleaning practices and the comparative effectiveness of different cleaning methods is uncommon. 2 years into Obamacare, only 1 state still has more than 20 percent uninsured
    Los Angeles Times
When the Affordable Care Act took effect in October 2013, there were 14 states in which more than 1 in 5 adults lacked health insurance; today only Texas remains, according to new data. At the other end of the scale, only five states' populations were so well-insured in 2013 that fewer than 1 in 10 adult residents lacked insurance. Today, more than half the states have achieved that goal.

ICD-10 readiness: Physician practices lag far behind hospitals
    HealthLeaders Media
Hospitals did not get any ICD-10 relief as part of CMS' accord with the AMA regarding a specificity grace period. However, they might not need much help, according to the latest Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange survey. Approximately 88 percent of hospitals that responded to the survey expect to be ready for ICD-10 by implementation, with only one respondent anticipating not being ready and 10 percent unsure.
