    Healthcare providers expect major financial headaches from ICD-10, survey says

    While the ICD-10 compliance deadline draws continually closer, an exact snapshot of industry readiness remains somewhat elusive. But new research shows there are s significant number of financial concerns with the roll out. Porter Research conducted a survey, commissioned by billing and payments solution vendor Navicure, during August 2015 and determined that the sate of industry readiness is shaky optimism carrying a number of concerns about what will happen after the Oct. 1 deadline.

    CMS releases 2014 Medicare ACO quality, financial results: 10 things to know
    Becker's Hospital Review
    CMS announced that 20 Pioneer and 333 Medicare Shared Savings Program accountable care organizations generated net savings of $411 million in 2014 and improved in most quality measures. "These results show that ACOs as a group are on the path towards transforming how care is provided," CMS Acting Administrator Andy Slavitt said in the release. "Many of these ACOs are demonstrating that they can deliver a higher level of coordinated care that leads to healthier people and smarter spending."

    CDC: Fewer people neglecting healthcare over cost

    Here are some big market plunges you might actually like. The rate of people who didn't get needed medical care as a result of its cost reached a 16-year-low in the three months that ended in March, as the Affordable Care Act continued to drive down the number of people without health insurance, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report.

    Judge allows Alaska governor to move ahead with Medicaid expansion

    Alaska's governor won a legal victory Friday that, at least for now, will allow the state to begin to sign up more low-income residents for Medicaid — despite objections from state lawmakers. The dispute in Alaska has emerged as the latest political and legal skirmish over the Affordable Care Act, lingering even after the Supreme Court two months ago upheld the constitutionality of a core aspect of the law that requires most Americans to have health insurance.
