Due to the Academy's advocacy efforts, Aetna has decided to cover CPT code 30930 when performed on the same date of service as 30520. Previously, Aetna had denied payment for 30930, but after the Academy sent a letter to Aetna, (login required) and followed up with a conference call, the insurer overturned their coverage position.
