A Tyneside pharmaceutical wholesaler plans to create 80 jobs on the back of a recent management buyout (MBO).
Prudhoe-based DE Pharmaceuticals is set to expand its bases in the North East and Doncaster, as well as adding new sites in Manchester, Barnsley, the South East, Belfast and the Midlands – taking its number of distribution centres across the U.K. and Ireland to nine.
GSK To Shed Several US Sales And Research Jobs
The Pharmaceutical Journal
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is reportedly planning to cut "several hundred" U.S. sales and research jobs, as part of its global restructuring strategy and cost-saving program.
In an emailed statement, a GSK spokesman was quoted by Reuters as saying: "This is a significant program and will result in the loss of several hundred employees in the U.S. commercial business and a similar number in R&D activities based in the U.S."
