The AATA was invited to participate in a panel presentation entitled “The Arts and Well Being Across the Military Continuum” at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Capitol Forum in San Diego, California. Our thoughts are with the people of Southern California, who are confronting deadly mudslides from a flood Tuesday in the wake of a devastating wildfire season. We mourn the 17 deaths in Santa Barbara County and hope for swift recoveries for all those injured and that the missing people are accounted for soon. Our hearts go out to the communities who have faced continuous trauma and displacement as they begin the long journey towards recovery.

This honor is conferred on a Professional member of the Association in recognition of significant contributions to work with clients, rather than service to the Association or contributions to the field of art therapy in general. In their nomination letters, colleagues commend Glassman for her clinical excellence, her ability to connect with youth, her talent to draw the community and whole care team together, and the example she sets for others in the practice of art therapy.
