Colleen Flood Promoted to Director; Kristen Scott Joins ACC

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce that Colleen Flood has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Member Services. Flood’s promotion was effective as of May 11, 2015. In this capacity, she will take on greater responsibility in driving the council’s marketing and membership recruitment initiatives in addition to meeting planning, office administration and database management.

“Colleen has been a tremendous asset to ACC since coming aboard in March, 2012,” said ACC President T.J. Schulz. “She has done a fantastic job in implementing improvements to ACC’s membership services and enhancing overall operations and efficiencies at ACC. In her new capacity we look forward to her continued efforts to advance ACC’s marketing initiatives and member services.”

ACC is also pleased to announce the hiring of Kristen Scott as Assistant of Membership and Administration. Scott joined ACC on May 1, 2015. She brings with her a communications background along with association and meetings experience.

“We are excited to have Kristen join the ACC team,” said Schulz. “With her interest and past experience in meeting planning and customer service, I know she will be a valuable addition to the ACC organization and its members.”

Originally from Northern Virginia, Scott has worked for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) for two summers and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh in June of 2014.

Manik Arora named to the 2015 ACC Board of Directors

ACC is pleased to welcome Manik Arora of Arora Engineers, Inc. as a new member of the ACC Board of Directors. He will fill a vacancy on the board created by the departure of Steve Riano with Bechtel Corporation. Per ACC bylaws, Arora was nominated by ACC Board of Directors Chair Carol Lurie with VHB, Inc. and approved by a majority of board members to serve out the remainder of the term, which ends in November 2015. Lurie thanked Riano when announcing the new board member. "Steve made tremendous contributions to ACC as an organization,” said Lurie. “I am pleased that Manik Arora has agreed to fill this position for the remainder of the term, and I look forward to working more closely with him in the coming months. Please join me in welcoming Manik to the 2015 ACC Board of Directors.”

ACC mourns the loss of an industry leader in the passing of Gerald P. FitzGerald
ACC
Jerry gained prominence during his tenure as the Director of Aviation for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He received the AAAE Distinguished Service Award in 1996 and the Chair’s Award in 1991. He then served as the President of Parsons Brinckerhoff, before opening his own consulting firm, Aviation Perspectives. Jerry used his considerable knowledge and experience in assisting airports and airlines in strategic business planning. As an individual member company in ACC, Jerry provided advice and support for many individuals that were starting their own consulting company. “Jerry was a wonderful friend and supporter of ACC,” said ACC President T.J.
