TSA and industry engage in successful Security Capabilities Workshop
ACC
The 2015 ACC/TSA Security Capabilities Workshop had record-setting attendance this year with more than 220 attendees, including robust participation by more than 30 representatives from the Transportation Security Administration and other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security. TSA Office of Security Capabilities Assistant Administrator Jill Vaughan kicked off the event by discussing the need for integrated security technology systems that are secure from cyber-vulnerabilities. Additional briefings were provided by key TSA division managers on programs and future risk based initiatives affecting checked baggage, acquisitions, intermodal, checkpoint and passenger screening, test and evaluation, and deployment. Finally, representatives from Customs and Border Protection and the Science and Technology Directorate provided perspectives throughout the program. Presentations are available on the event page.

ACC thanks OSC Assistant Administrator Jill Vaughan and her team for the strong partnership and engagement in this industry event. Special thanks also to ACC Security Committee Chair Charlotte Peed with Rapiscan Systems, Vice-Chair Michael Saunders with General Dynamics, and all the moderators, panelists, sponsors and exhibitors that made the event possible!
