ACC submits comments on Draft FAA Change 1 for AC 150/5100-14E
ACC
On July 17, ACC submitted comments on Change 1 to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E, Architectural, Engineering, and Planning Consultant Services for Airport Grant Projects. Comments were collected via a focus group as well as directly from ACC members and were consolidated into a master matrix and submitted to FAA.

There were a number of substantive recommendations offered by ACC members on some of the modifications made in the draft Change 1 document, but several provisions attracted specific attention. In particular, there were many comments regarding Section 1.4 – Types of Consultant Services, which would separate planning and engineering/design activities into separate procurement actions and could lead to a significant increase on the administrative burdens of airport sponsors. To learn more, please contact ACC’s T.J. Schulz at TJS@ACConline.org.
