Falling fuel prices might pep up, not spoil, plane makers' party
The Wall Street Journal
Years of high jet fuel prices have been a headache for airlines, but they have been a boon to Boeing Co.Boeing and Airbus Group. The world’s two biggest plane makers have racked up huge orders for more fuel-efficient jets. The recent sharp decline in the price of jet fuel, which typically makes up more than 30 percent of an airline’s costs, has raised the question of whether this particular party is about to end.
